About Sarah

I’m Sarah Horth, and I write procedural murder mysteries set in a climate-changed future.

What does that mean?

I’ve created at a world around a community set up in a Seattle neighborhood after climate change has altered the city forever… and then introduced murder.

Do you want to read about how climate change might alter our lives in the future, but don’t want to read another dystopian nightmare? Do you enjoy police procedurals with plenty of twists and turns, and a strong female sleuth — with just a touch of romance? If yes, you’ll love my books.

My profession is instructional and technical writing, but now I’ve turned to my first love: murder mystery fiction. My background in history has helped me research the way we used to live and apply it to the future.

Having lived in Seattle and Tokyo, I’m now based in a small town in New Zealand where I spend equal time gazing at the view, getting lost in my writing, and attempting to grow food.

Join my book club if you want to know more about my books and writing, and you’ll get free extra content.

See you in the future!

Sarah
