Mystery Series to Try
I love reading mystery books, and even more so if they come in a series and so I can get to know the characters. I tend toward strong female main characters and a bit of action. I particularly like a well-rounded group of supporting characters.
Some favorite series that I’ve either started or completely finished:
Robert Dugoni’s Tracy Crosswhite series set in Washington State: starting with My Sister’s Grave
If you like your mysteries with lots of action, Louisa Luna’s Alice Vega series is great! Start with Two Girls Down
How about a futuristic police procedural, combined with a billionaire romance? JD Robb’s In Death series is an amazing series with a whole fascinating cast of characters. Start with Naked in Death.
This might sound strange combination, but Ariana Franklin’s series Mistress of the Art of Death series is about a female pathologist solving mysteries set in the middle ages. Start with Mistress of the Art of Death.
If you enjoy Victorian sleuths, the Veronica Speedwell series is fun. Start at A Curious Beginning.
And another period series, this time for Holmes fans, Laurie R. King’s Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes series, starting with The Beekeeper's Apprentice.
